I recently started a Book Giveaway on Safal Niveshak. The idea was to give away 15 of my best read books on investing and human behaviour.
Around 4,350 people participated in the Giveaway, including a few fake ones like – humma.humma, angoor.khatte, jumma.chumma, naach.basanti, chhota.bheem, tyre.puncture, and junglee.haathi. 😉 Some people would just try to rig the system to win at any cost!
Anyways, here are the 3 winners of the Giveaway, chosen based on the points they had accumulated by sharing the Giveaway and spreading the word about Safal Niveshak…
- Ravi Kiran
- Atul Kekan
- Sanjay Surana
Congratulations to the winners!
Finally, here is the list of 15 remarkable books I am giving away –
- Liar’s Poker by Michael Lewis
- The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande
- Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds by Charles Mackay
- Irrational Exuberance by Robert J. Shiller
- When Genius Failed: The Rise and Fall of Long-Term Capital Management by Roger Lowenstein
- Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
- Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely
- Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Cialdini Robert B.

- Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
- The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

Even if you haven’t won the contest, you’ll do yourself a world of good by buying/borrowing and reading all of these books.
By the way, given the tough competition for the first three prizes, I am happy to award special prizes to the next five people on the list. 🙂
These special winners are –
- Arpit Lahoty
- Versha M
- Murtaza
- Akhilesh Pathak
- Vicky Rathod
And the special prize here is an exclusive, Safal Niveshak’s Embroidered Polo Shirt. 🙂
Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who participated in the Giveaway!

Congratulations to all winners and kudos to Vishal sir.
Books can keep the fire burning inside you, long after everywhere else it has been put out by others.

I’m curious. How can someone identify which are fake ids and which aren’t? I brought in at least 50 of my “real” friends to participate and yet all it comes down to is a chance? Can you please show us how the winners were chosen? Coz all of that work isn’t worth the continuous mails which I expect my friends will be getting from Safal Niveshak’s blog posts from now on, if I can’t even find out why I didn’t win.
Vishal Khandelwal says
Hi Meghana,
Before you cast any more doubts on the integrity of choosing the winners, let me make some things clear.
There were a few ids like – humma.humma, angoor.khatte, jumma.chumma, naach.basanti, chhota.bheem, tyre.puncture, junglee.haathi, abs987564978456845, haha.haha, etc. These obviously do not seem like real ids. All the more, most of these funny guys registered one after the other. So there were ids like these that I removed from the list.
Two, you got 50 people. Thank you so much for that! But the winners got in much more…in excess of 100-200. This is after I deleted all email ids where people had not confirmed their participation after registering for the Giveaway. So it was not about “chance” but about the points people accumulated. As I see, you stood at 12th position on the list.
Third, I do not believe in spamming people! So, all your friends who have registered, and all other people, will get an email from me in a day or two about whether they would like to receive my articles etc. I will also ask them to Unsubscribe if they do not want to receive my posts. So you can rest assured that only those of your friends who would not Unsubscribe would receive my emails…and even then, they have an option to Unsubscribe anytime in the future. I incur costs on sending emails, and thus only want to send them to people who would benefit from the same.
You see, sometimes it’s not about winning but trying. I know none of the winners personally, and you can ask me for their email ids to write to them and confirm if you so wish.
I hope this makes my position clear. Let me know if you have any further doubts.
Regards,
Vishal

I know it will be a tough contest. I have shared it on FB, watsapp ..etc but one more thing I did was to personally let my friends know to register it every day. I targeted atleast 50 confirmations daily and it paid off finally with 500+ confirmed entries on my lucky URL.
Thanks Vishal for giving the opportunity to make my friends aware of Safal Niveshak. I’m following your blog on your 2 year investing course with the books that you recommended, successfully completed reading four of them and with this learnt a lot of lessons on value investing. Will be recommending Safalniveshak for my friends or anyone who is wandering around on Investing.
Regards
Ravi Kiran
